When I was 16 years old I created a "man list" that included all the qualities and characteristics I wanted in a husband. I have been praying for Chris ever since... even though until three and a half years ago I didn't know it was him I had been praying for.
I met Chris almost 5 years ago at a mutual friend's wedding... A year and a half later I bumped into Chris again (thank you "matchmaker Kori"). With God's timing and a little spark we fell for each other immediately. Chris has challenged me over the past 3 1/2 years and I marvel at how much we've grown, not only as a couple but also as Christians. He convicts me when I need to trust God and covers me in prayers daily. What more could a girl ask for? While he isn't the professional musician slash major league baseball player I wrote down when I was 16, he is far better than anyone I could have imagined or wished for in high school. I thank God for the unique attributes He gave to Chris that compliment me and help me to grow as an individual. Chris is kind and gracious. He puts up with all of my moodiness and still has love in his heart for me at the end of each day. He prays for me daily. He challenges me to believe the best in people. He teaches me to put my trust in God. He persuades me to stay optimistic. And above all what I admire most is his committed faith in God. He is anchored in Christ and is teaching me to be also. I know that we will weather tough storms together, but I am confident we will make it through because of where we are anchored.
Thank you Jesus for the gift you are giving me. I don't deserve him!
